The Samaritans Forest of Hope

What began as a beautiful sentiment has grown to become an important new initiative. One
that helps keep our phone lines open for people struggling to cope. Supported by Coillte and the Tree Council of Ireland, a tree will be planted in Dublin Samaritans’ Forest of Hope for everyone who becomes a Friend of Dublin Samaritans. Membership would make the perfect gift for friends, family, or your corporate clients.

Let’s grow a forest of hope together.

Your Friends of Dublin Samaritans subscription will go towards running our 24/7 helpline.

This means we can continue offering emotional support to anyone experiencing grief, distress or suicidal feelings. It allows us to continue training more and more volunteers. And it helps to provide outreach programmes to vulnerable people throughout Dublin.

Every tree planted is another call answered

Become a Friend of Dublin Samaritans. Coillte will plant a tree in your name in our Forest of Hope. Your gift keeps our free helpline service alive – bringing hope to those who need us most.

Every member who becomes a Friend will be given a welcome pack. This includes a membership card, a native Irish wood pen, and an invitation to events every year. We want the people who support us to feel part of Dublin Samaritans and our Forest of Hope.

Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by suicide.

We offer support in a completely nonjudgemental way, hoping that by listening to the caller we can offer them a chance to speak about their feelings and emotions, giving them the freedom to talk in a secure environment.

If you are looking for emotional support please freephone 116 123, or email jo@samaritans.ie
