Hand of Friendship Walk - Avondale Forest Park

Inspired by Charlie Bird, this is our second walk following on from the successful event held in 2023.

With volunteers from all our branches walking together, it will be a Samaritans first and something that Charlie always hoped we would achieve.

Having Claire Bird’s blessing, we are proud to be fulfilling Charlies wish, something Claire has expressed her delight about.

In memory of Charlie, Samaritans are making a presentation of a bird house to Avondale.

We offer you an open invitation to join in our walk

• Free Event, bring family and friends and enjoy a great day out
• 5km Walk – Go at your own pace
